POPULAR WINTER TREKS:

KEDARKANTHA WINTER TREK

The Kedarkantha ranges of Uttrakhand lie in the Gharwal region inside the Govind National Park . The entire area would be blanketed in thick snow from December till April, and it is the best time to trek to the Kedarkantha peak. The trek is not too tough and with expert licensed guides like Deshraj Rana, and with right snow gear, beginners too can do the trek comfortably.

The itinerary

DAY – 1) DRIVE DEHRADUN TO SANKRI (6400 FT.) – 220 KM.

DAY – 2) TREK SANKRI TO JUDA KA TAAL (4 KM) (9100 FT.)

DAY – 3) TREK JUDA KA TAALTO KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP (11200 FT.)

DAY – 4) KEDARKANTHA BC TO KEDARKANTHA SUMMIT (12500 ft.) & BACK TO JUDA-KA-TAAL (9100 ft.)

DAY – 5) JUDA-KA-TAAL TO SANKRI & DRIVE TO DEHRADUN

Duration – 5 DAYS 4 NIGHT (Dehradun to Dehradun)

Best season – April – June & Sept – Oct & December to March for winter trek.

Minimum Group Size – 8

Gulabi Kantha Trek is very famous trek in Yamuna valley in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gulabi kantha trek situated at an altitude of 3789 meters above the sea level. It is a lush green meadow which lies on the way of Dodital. The place offers Himalayan mountain range and a beautiful view of sunrise and sunset. Winter trek is undertaken by the adventurous folks who love an arduous trek through the snow fields .
