If you couldn't enjoy enough long weekends this year, don't worry. Next year will bring its own share of long holidays - sixteen to be precise! This time, do yourself a favour and plan your vacays ahead of time.
Do save our contact details for either complete tour packages or only road trip.
So, mark your calendars for these dates.
1. January
January 22, Monday: Basant Panchami. This long weekend will give many of you the chance to plan a getaway.
January 26, Friday: Republic Day. The mini vacay in the Raipur City would seem just perfect.
2. February
February 13, Tuesday: Mahashivratri. Take a leave on Monday and voila! You have a four-day long weekend. You can Plan for Pachmarhi as the weather is extremely pleasant in February.
3. March
March 2, Friday: Holi. The festival of colours will fall on a weekend next year and you can either spend time at home with family or drive off to the hills for a quiet getaway from the Jagdalur Tour.
March 30, Friday: Good Friday. March will bless us with another long holiday. Use this weekend to visit Mainpat or Kanha Kisli.
4. April
April 30, Monday: Buddha Purnima. A Saturday-Monday weekend calls for a trip to Goa. You can either fly out Friday evening or take a leave instead and begin your vacay early.
5. May
May brings no special holidays. May 1 is celebrated as Labour Day internationally. Maharashtra Day also falls on the same day.
6. June
June 15, Friday: Idul' Fitr. To escape the scorching heat, make this long weekend an opportunity for a road trip to Vizag.
7. July
Like every year, July will once again bring a dry spell but August will promise a lot more.
8. August
August 15, Wednesday: Independence Day. If your leave balance allows, prefix and suffix this holiday and travel to Jagannath Puri & Chilka Lake.
August 22, Wednesday: Idul' Zuha. If the above plan doesn't pan out, plan a couple of days off from work, have a road trip to Himachal as the weather is at its best in the north and the east. You can be back by Sunday as Rakshabandhan falls on August 26 this year.
9. September
September 3, Monday: Janmashtami. What better place to visit than Vrindavan and Mathura on Janmashtami.
September 13, Thursday: Ganesh Chaturthi. Plan a leave on Friday and head to Shillong. The month sees ample rainfall but the washed out landscapes offer one of the best experiences of travel.
10. October
October 2, Tuesday: Gandhi Jayanti. October brings another opportunity to travel over a long weekend in case you miss the previous times. Mark Monday as a leave and plan your vacay in Ooty. The weather is cool and it's a great place to unwind.
October 19, Friday: Dussera. Ram Navami falls on October 18 and if you are lucky to get two official holidays in a row, plan a budget trip to Bhutan.
11. November
November 7, Wednesday: Diwali. The festive week starts from Monday with Dhanteras and culminates into Bhai Dooj on Friday. With two weekends on either end of this festive week, you can fly abroad, perhaps to Singapore or Dubai (of course, if spending time away is not frowned upon!).
12. December
December 25, Tuesday: Christmas Day. With 2019 around the corner, take the opportunity to make that Goa trip that you couldn't afford through the year.
