All people travelling to Australia on flights departing on or after 22 January 2021 (local time at departure point) must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result at the time of check-in.

Importantly, if you are travelling with a group (family etc) and one member tests positive, then the group will be considered a close contact of a positive case and will be deemed high risk. As such, the group are advised not to go to the airport.

This test must be conducted 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight (or first flight if you have one or more connecting flights booked for your travel to Australia).

Some exemptions to testing apply (children under 4 years and other vulnerable groups).

Information for Travelers Returning to the United States:

Effective January 26, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will require all air passengers entering the United States (including U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents) to present a negative COVID-19 test, taken within three calendar days of departure​, or proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days.

Airlines must confirm the negative test result or proof of recent recovery for all passengers prior to boarding. ​Airlines must deny boarding of passengers who do not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery.

So as to pave way for renovation works of JKIA’s Terminal 1B & C, kindly be advised that Lufthansa Air, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airways, Turkish Airlines, and RwandAir have temporarily moved their flight operations from the two terminals to Terminal 1A, while Uganda Airlines has moved its operations to Terminal 2.

Please remember to check with your respective airline for updated flight information.

To minimize inconveniences at the airport, passengers are requested to arrive at the airport at least 4hours before their flight ✈️ departure time.
