For those who couldn't attend the Talk, here's the recruitment process for joining MaRS. Don't worry if you know little about robotics; all we need is enthusiasm and curiosity from your side! We shall handle the rest.😇

1. MaRS will conduct 3 workshops where you will learn about:
->How to use Solidworks
->Basics of Arduino and Electronic circuits
->Basics of IoT and its implementation
Join us for the workshops as you'll design a bot and implement IoT to control its motion. Perfect hands-on experience! 😎

2. A compulsory Recruitment Test will be taken for those eager to join us. Here's the preparatory material:

A prosthetic arm is a device that replaces a missing body part, which may have been lost through trauma, disease, or a condition present at birth. Our alum Prashant Kumar (currently working at ISRO), had made a prosthetic arm using a 3d printer which is much cheaper than the existing prosthetic arm.

Hello robotics enthusiasts!!! Here's an exciting opportunity for you all to learn about robotics and related fields. IIT Kharagpur is organising the annual Winter School of AI and Robotics, and anyone interested in getting insights into the world of robotics must participate in it!!

"Passionate about robotics, technology, and innovation? Technology Robotix Society, IIT Kharagpur brings to you the annual Winter School of AI and Robotics, in association with IEEE SB IITKGP and Technology Students’ Gymkhana.

Commencing from 19th March, join us as we bring Winter School to IIT Roorkee. The school aims to introduce concepts of 3 verticals- Computer Vision, Autonomous Robotics, and Machine Learning. While Computer Vision and Autonomous Robotics are open to all, Machine Learning is exclusively for second years and above. A variety of guest lectures by experts and industrialists in these fields will also take place to gain better insight.

To attend the Winter School, one must take the compulsory Winter School test, to be held on the 12th of March. It is a non-qualifying test, implying that the attendee will be able to attend the school irrespective of the score on the test. The exact details of the test will be conveyed via mail.

Hello everyone, we at IIT Roorkee are organizing an Intro Talk to the prestigious Solar Decathlon India competition, which is conducted by the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) and the Alliance for an Energy Efficiency Economy (AEEE) under the aegis of the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF). The competition focuses on multidisciplinary research and innovation to design a smart, efficient and sustainable built environment. Students across different fields like architecture, mechanical, civil, electrical, artificial intelligence, IoT, product design, finance and management work together under the guidance of professors and project and industry partners, which provides a very practical experience. The competition involves 11 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, by UN.
Last year, Team Navaritih of IIT Roorkee made it to the finals and this year we aim to win the competition.

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are doing well.

This post is concerning one of our past Secretary(2017-18) of Models and Robotics Section, Shivam Srivastava, who is going through financial struggle to get his Father treated for severe Liver Cancer and sustain a family of 5 people.
Many of you would remember him, specially the people who worked at MaRS and during Srishti.

We all have been through really tough times since the pandemic, but some have had it really worse. We cannot be physically or emotionally present for support, but the least we can do is extend a financial aid as a community, specially to someone who has given so much and worked hard for this Section, as a member and also as a Leader.

Finding a safe and shortest path in a cluttered environment for a mobile robot is an important requirement for the success of any mobile robot project.
