Friends, we just returned home after a rejuvenating stay at a nearby scenic and cozy property by the name 'जलतरंग,' and the nice experience deserves to have a sharing with you all.

We decided to spend a short weekend with old family friends Dr Mahesh and Deepa Bhogate there.
This self designed cozy property is owned by the couple Dr Khalid and Dr Sunita Shaikh and is a proud present to them by their daughter, Nida Shaikh, who is a renowned name in Bollywood and has to her credit various Art and Advertisement designs and has passionately designed this property.

We started yesterday late afternoon for the one and half hour journey Via Hatkhamba-Nivali and crossed the Bavnadi bridge first, then took the immediate right turn, driving separately, for 13km, via Pangari-Tulasani till तेलीवाङी-निवे बुद्रुक-पालखी सहाण. (The road till here was good to very good.) Here we turned right on a single lane road for a km reaching जोयशीवाङी शाळा, and then straight ahead on a mostly laterite, almost no mud, small, lonely 1.5km कच्चा रस्ता through a lush green, dense, almost untouched, tropical rain forest to the property, for an overnight stay.

Beautifully made and very well maintained with all the required infrastructure, needing us to carry only the items of personal needs, pleasure and leisure.

Anant Joyashi, who does housekeeping there, needs an applause for being an one man army there - as a cook, waiter, Gardner, property maintainer, etc. and affectionately attending the guests over every needed comfort.

An Utopian location on the bank of a मातीचा बंधारा धरण, with big expanse of crystal clear, over hundred feet deep, clean water, vividly visible through all glass walls and the happiness of solitude is enhanced, as there is not a soul in sight anywhere nearby for a great expanse.

The photos that I enclose along do not do much justice to the beauty of this destination and one needs to have your eyes and mind filled to the brim by a personal visit to believe it's magic.

Though located at interior, the place is equipped with modern interiors and facilities including a comfortable AC .

The morning walk through the horticulture property of Dr. Khalid with Anant as a guide, was an enthralling experience.

The food was delicious but pre-ordered and outsourced from Devrukh, but nice tea and breakfast was made by Anant and was simple but yummy delight.

The package is Rs. 2000/- per person including dinner and breakfast. Only one unit or a family is allowed at a time. The property has three self-contained bedrooms maintaining privacy, distance and view.

This lockdown affected people differently all over the world.
All of us got into cooking, a lot of us started persuing our hobbies again, some of us got into depression and most of us enjoyed this time with our families.

We tried to utilise this time and took up a project here at

Presenting to you all our lockdown project.
Yes its a partition wall made out of beer bottles. My father preserved all the beer bottles consumed by all the clients visited us in last 5 years.. (we had a lot of clients who consumed a lot of beer thank you to all of them 😉)

It's a small effort to create something out of the waste.

drilled holes through all 465 bottles used in creating the wall.

Our care taker Bhau helped us clean the bottles and a local fabricator helped us with the structure.
