Thinking Globally: Globalization
IQRA Foundation been working for many years in promoting the unity of Muslim Ummah through social, educational and cultural programs. As you are aware, Islam introduced the concept of global consciousness fourteen centuries ago:
Globalisation, the phenomenon that came about following the New World Order, is defined as the dismantling of socio-cultural and national
barriers under the impact of the IT revolution, satellite telecommunication, global media, network and tourism, taking global issue like threats of terrorism. Fourteen century Ago during Prophet (SAW) time and later in the periods of the Sahabas stretches was given to the phenomena of globalisation in and of Islam. We can further analysis from the life of the prophet (SAW) and the Sahabas (RA) how they have worked hard for the globalisation of Islam. As we have certain verse from the Quran as mentioned below:
"…it is no less than a message for all creatures." One of the responsibilities of man is to ensure the continued development of the Ummah, based on the ethical and moral standards set by God as stated in the Qur'an and the traditions of the Prophet (SAW). Call For Peace looking further to calls upon Muslim scholars, intellectuals and Da'wah activists to participate in its Forum, which is dedicated particularly to the challenges encountering Muslim Youth and the Nation. With the Change of time and civilization the view of globalization has further become broader with the changes and different aspect in the life of men and his environment. Today the world wide we some aspect in term of social, cultural, educational, economic and political related matters
