This was our first group tour with Jyoti Travels DMC, and therefore we were a bit apprehensive. But thanks to Jyoti Travels DMC, we had a wonderful time. The arrangements for our stay, food and transportation were all too good. We enjoyed every sightseeing and most of all the arrangements made for the 'Bihu Dance' in our hotel, on the occasion of the Bihu Festival. We thank our tour managers Sourav Mitra whose genuine care and concern made our tour a memorable one. Sourav, would meticulously plan each day of our tour and brief us, on the significance of the sights in advance. He is an asset to the company. Myself, Neeta Rathod and my husband Shri Dhansukhlal Rathod had gone to your Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore tour recently. The tour was a great success. We enjoyed a lot. The credit goes to our tour manager Shri Sourav Mitra. Our group comprised of 40 people and barring 6/7 people, all of us were senior citizens. Sourav had a gigantic task of taking care of around 35 senior citizens. He took care of all the group members properly. Due to his excellent time management, we could complete all of the sightseeing well in time and we could spend enough time at each place. Even at Changi airport he took the time out and took us to show the HSBC Rain Vortex. For all of us, the self and digital immigration at Singapore airport was altogether a new thing and was a bit tedious and confusing. But Sohail had explained it to us prior to the entry into Singapore. He personally stood near the counter, guided all of us and made our immigration process hassle-free. Due to his command on Bengali, Hindi and English, he could connect with every one of us, speaking different languages. Regarding hotel stays at night, all the hotels were very good. It is very difficult to find Indian vegetarian food in foreign countries. But hotels and restaurants selected by Jyoti Travels DMC catered to tasty Indian vegetarian food. Thank you so much for that. Madam, we have done 5 tours – 2 international – with Jyoti Travels DMC. Every time our experience was very very good. So was this tour. Madam, both of us wish to extend our special thanks to our tour manager Sourav Mitra and all your administrative team who were behind the curtain to make excellent arrangements for our tour to make it memorable and hassle-free. I have planned and booked my own travel arrangements all my life. I was apprehensive about whether group tours are for young people like me and whether will I like them. We happened to be on this group tour as our family was planning to see New Zealand as part of a group tour and we wanted to see it with them. As a group of 6, we knew there were lots of challenges associated with travelling especially when 4 of them are seniors, be it in terms of catering the food preferences or covering as many places and experiences as possible. This was my first ever group tour and I couldn't be happier than how it went. This was the most enjoyable vacation I had where my focus was entirely on having fun and experiencing the best a country had to offer. This was the first vacation where my only job was to have fun. Usually, I would be driving, planning, and worrying about the weather but this time I was just enjoying the tour and having fun with my family and the group as a whole. A huge credit for this goes to our tour manager, who showed care, understanding and patience with everyone and in every situation. He ensured we had the best possible experience, be it with the games played on long bus rides or encouraging people to share their experiences with everyone as well as dropping knowledge about all the places we were visiting or his past experiences. He was honest, accommodating, and flexible and displayed an incredible amount of knowledge about not just New Zealand but all the tours he had been on. During this journey, he became much more than a tour manager for all of us. For me, he became a very good friend. I doubt there are better people to manage tours than him. The food arrangement was top notch and most accommodations were good (some places could be better). We were very happy with the breadth of New Zealand covered as well as the various sightseeing and adventures we experienced (helicopter ride, cruise and bungy jump being the highlights). I don't think we could have covered as much by ourselves in this duration. We had such a good time that by the middle of the tour we were already looking at other tours available to take in the future with family. It's cliched, I agree, but each word is true, isn't it?
For a long time, I wanted to visit Italy. It was my dream; it was always there on my bucket list. And when I saw the opportunity, I thought I should grab it.
I lead the Inbound Travel team at Jyoti Travels DMC and my job includes travelling to places to attend events and exhibitions. This year, in the first week of March, I had to attend the ITB Berlin in Germany to represent Jyoti Travels DMC. I thought why not take a little detour on my way back to Kolkata? I decided to extend my stay and go to Italy.
What to say, Italy is an amazing country with gorgeous sightseeing and delicious food. As a traveller, I visited many places including the Trevi Fountain, the ruins of the Roman Forum, and the iconic Colosseum in Rome.
The history and heritage of these places are so rich that one day or one visit sometimes isn’t enough. As I walked through the streets, I was mesmerised by the charm of the city. The cobbled stone and wonderful lanes offered a culinary adventure with authentic Italian flavours. A special mention to the delicious Italian Coffee that tasted so good! As I ventured further, I discovered the scenic beauty of Castel Gandolfo overlooking Lake Albano. Both offer breathtaking scenic beauty.
The serene lake reflects the charming town and surrounding hills. The town's historic buildings add to its picturesque charm. Exploring the area feels like stepping into a postcard. A visit to Castle Gandolfo offers a glimpse into the beauty of the Italian countryside. The efficient and well-connected public transport made exploring these historic sites a breeze, adding to the charm of my Italian adventure.
I loved Italy. The country's history and beauty are wonderful and so are its gelato & pasta. I now just look forward to exploring more of Italy soon! Till then, ciao!
