How shopping looks at the local market? Well, going to the market alone is experience of colors, different smells and goods. And in the end - not knowing what to buy :D However, with Mr Lalit it was an EXPERIENCE! Suddenly we knew, what spices are good for dishes and which sticks smell the best. Nothing is better than travelling with people who know! :-)

Takdah - a place is hidden in the mist on the top of the hill surrounded by tea gardens. But not only. Takdah is a place where the British bungalows are well preserved and this makes it worth to stay. Some are rebuilt into homestays or more luxurious accommodation units. However, coming there takes you back to the time, when the British officers were walking through this little town. Check the video where Mr Norbu G. Lama talks about this place :-) So, is it worth to drive 2 hours from Darjeeling to reach it? 😉
