Help Tourism(H - Heritage, E - Environment, L - Livelihood, P – People) was established on the 15th of August 1991 with the mission of ‘Linking Protected Areas and Heritage Sites of East Himalaya with people’s livelihood through Responsible Tourism and giving them ownership as a first stepping stone to conservation and sustainability’. The organization is one of the most respected and leading DMCs in the country and also a pioneer in Responsible Tourism in East & Northeast India. Help Tourism has been operating wildlife holidays & expeditions, exploratory tours, birding holidays, safari trips, cultural & heritage tours, educational tours & voluntourism, trekking expeditions, conservation-research-photography & documentary trips, custom-made signature trips (mostly for small groups) in some of the most critically important and less-travelled protected areas and heritage sites in the East Himalaya landscapes since 1991.Besides its own eco lodges and wildlife lodges in several locations in the mountains and jungles, the organization has its own infrastructure and offices, team of the most qualified, experienced, passionate and dedicated guides and specialist trip leaders. To date Help Tourism is associated with 30 conservation and community based tourism projects in the region(West and North of Bengal, Sikkim, Darjeeling Hills, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram) and has partnered with more than one hundred indigenous community groups.........
