Have you ever tried Patanda & Siddu on your trip to the hills? 📹🎤



Well, here's a treat from the mountains :') Patanda (पटंडा) & Siddu (सिड्डू) is all she craves for when she go to her village in Upper Himachal.
Eaten with Pahadi Rajmah & loads of ghee!
According to Geetanjali, her Nanu makes the best Siddus ever!!! ♥️
RECIPE for Pahadi Siddu in 55 minutes :

1. Kneading the dough:

- add yeast to the flour for making the Siddus light & fluffy.
- cover the dough with a damp cloth & allow to rise for about 1 hour.

2. Filling for the Siddu:

- boil 2 cups of Til / Sesame seeds in 3 cups of water. Add salt for the Salty Siddu.
- Roast 2 cups of Til / Sesame seeds OR Bhaang Seeds. Add 2 cups of grated jaggery for the Sweet Siddu.

3. Stuff the Siddus making small buns.

4. Steam for about 45 minutes. Serve with Ghee. :)
