Brief Itinerary :

Day 1 : Pick up from Srinagar and transportation to Naranag base camp.

Day 2 : Naranag to Sangri trek (5 kms - 4 hours)

Day 3 : Sangri to Marchoi top and back to Sangri. ( 8 kms - 7 hours)

Day 4 : Sangri to Naranag trek and back to Srinagar by road.

A Picturesque Winter Trek in Kashmir

*Trek Introduction*

Marchoi Trek is the best highlight you can get of winter trekking in Kashmir. Situated nearby to the famous and ancient Naranag Temple ruins, this trek has a trail that meanders beside wangath river, crosses over frozen gully which is glassy with full of icicles, and gives a panoramic view from Marchoi Top of enticing Himalayan mountains including Mt Harmukh, Kotwal Peak, Salnai Valley, Gangabal Valley, Wangath Valley and Marchoi Valley . The trail gets through a patch of jungle too, then opens onto a vast meadow and climbs to Marchoi top locally called Shadimarg Top. The trek is famous for bird watching and wildlife species.

Sip hot kehwa/tea in the wood & mud houses on the way, and experience the walk on snow, night bonfire and Kashmiri cuisines.
