In the State of Jammu and Kashmir lies Asia’s largest tulip garden. It is located in Srinagar and is situated at the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range. Tulip Garden was inaugurated in the year 2007 with the aim of promoting tourism in the region. The garden is spread over 30 hectares and offers panoramic views of mountains and the Dal Lake. There are about 1.5 million tulips in over 60 mesmerizing varieties.
The Department of Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir hosts the annual Tulip Festival in Srinagar, which highlights the vividly coloured tulips planted in tulip gardens. Witnessing the breathtaking beauty of the tulip garden is the main draw for tourists from all over the world during the Tulip festival. The Jammu and Kashmir department of floriculture makes sure the tulips are well-cared for and nourished so they can bloom to their full potential. From the time the tulip bulbs are purchased until the flowers finally bloom, the entire process of cultivating and caring for the tulips is supervised by the department of flowers, also known as the department of floriculture.

Varieties of Tulips in Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden

Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has over 73 varieties of Tulips that are for the display. These tulips remain fresh for 25 days and hence the Tulip Garden remains open for those days. Some of the famous Tulip Varieties Include:

Strong Gold: This tulip variety produces vibrant yellow flowers with a strong stem, making them perfect for bouquets.

Margarita: These tulips have large, white blooms with a soft yellow center, creating an elegant display.

Candela: Candela tulips are known for their tall stems and bright red flowers. They add a pop of color to any garden

Kung Fu: With fringed, red petals, Kung Fu tulips are sure to grab attention

Early Harvest: These tulips live up to their name by blooming early in the season. They come in a variety of colors, including pink, purple, and yellow.

Ile de France: Named after a region in France, Ile de France tulips have beautiful, classic peony-shaped blooms in shades of pink and purple.

Double Flowering: These tulips have multiple layers of petals, creating a full and luxurious bloom.

Parrot Tulips: Parrot tulips have fringed or ruffled petals that resemble a parrot’s feathers.

Fringed Tulips: Fringed tulips have petals with delicate edges, adding a touch of whimsy to the garden.

اِنَّ الدِّیۡنَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ الۡاِسۡلَامُ ۟ وَ مَا اخۡتَلَفَ الَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡکِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَہُمُ الۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡیًۢا بَیۡنَہُمۡ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یَّکۡفُرۡ بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰہِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ سَرِیۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ ﴿۱۹﴾

بیشک اللہ تعالٰی کے نزدیک دین اسلام ہی ہے اور اہل کتاب اپنے پاس علم آجانے کے بعد آپس کی سرکشی اور حسد کی بناء پر ہی اختلاف کیا ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کے ساتھ جو بھی کفر کرے اللہ تعالٰی اس کا جلد حساب لینے والا ہے ۔
