This is the blessed hair of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which is preserved in the Topkapi museum in Turkey 🇹🇷.

When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ cut his hair, he distributed them to his companions and his family.

After the death of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, sick people used to go to his wife Umm Salamah with a container of water. She would dip the blessed hair of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the water seeking a cure through the permission of Allah (Bukhari).

Imam al-'Ayni said that those who drank this water would be healed.

Imam al-Zurqani said that the reason for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ distributing his blessed hair to the Sahaba was so that its blessing could be everlasting.
