Industrial Minister P Rajeev said Mahindra & Mahindra might start an EV manufacturing plant in Trivandrum. Their team will come next week for discussions. Kerala is trying to transform the city into an automotive technology hub. Trivandrum already has Kerala Automobiles. Govt is in talks with some other companies to start manufacturing units.

Kerala leads the country with the highest pe*******on of EVs & Trivandrum leads the state in EV sales. The Minister also said, Kerala has an advantage of a port like Vizhinjam in Trivandrum.

KSRTC buys 2 electric double decker buses for the first time for budget tourism. After Mumbai city, Thiruvananthapuram will become the city with electric double decker bus. Leyland company's Electric Double Ducker was purchased from the SmartCity project at a cost of 4 crores. The service will start in January. A regular double decker bus already plies in the city. It is crowded with tourists.

സർക്കാർ ഇപ്പോൾ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന റൂട്ടുകളിൽ ക്രിയാത്മകമായി കഴിയുന്നത്ര യാത്രക്കാരെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാൻ കഴിയുന്ന രീതിയിലുള്ള മെട്രോയും മറ്റ് ഗതാഗത സംവിധാനങ്ങളും കൂട്ടിയിണക്കിയ പദ്ധതിയുമായി മുന്നോട്ടുപോവുക. തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരത്തിന്റെ വൻ വികസനം സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്ന സാധാരണക്കാരായ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ശബ്ദം എന്നുള്ള രീതിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ കൂട്ടായ്മകളും മെട്രോ പദ്ധതി അതിവേഗത്തിൽ ആക്കാൻ സർക്കാരിനെ സഹായിക്കാൻ ഏതു രീതിയിലും പ്രതിബദ്ധരാണ്.

In a bid to transcend Trivandrum as the water sports capital of the state and to attract more foreign and as well as domestic tourists, the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has signed pacts with three private agencies to start water sports at three beaches.

DTPC signed the pacts with Neptune Water Sports, Bond Safari and Andaman Flyer to start water sports at Kappil, Varkala and Adimalathura beaches..

The beach goers will soon be able to enjoy water sports like Jet Ski, Parasailing, Scuba Diving, Bumper-ride, Banana Boat Ride etc. at these three beaches.
The new initiative will also become a source of revenue to the fishermen who live near the beaches, as well as for DTPC. DTPC also eyes revenue from selling tickets for the sports as it will be running on a public-private-partnership model.
