Embark on a complete pilgrimage circuit along the coastal regions of Gujarat, offering a harmonious blend of Saiva and Vaishnav temples, each with its own unique puranic history.

This journey also includes serene spots like the Triveni Sangam, coastal ghats, a museum, and the picturesque Shivrajpur Beach. The hills promise breathtaking views of the coastal landscape.

Our journey begins and ends at Rajkot Airport, followed by a scenic drive along the highways.

The itinerary features a two-night stay in Dwarka, one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Dwarka is also believed to be the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna. We will also spend one night in Somnath, home to the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which has a rich history of being rebuilt several times after destruction by invaders.

Another night will be spent in Junagadh, a city with a blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, known for the Uparkot Fort and the Ashokan Edicts dating back to the 3rd century BCE.

The ghats along the coast near Dwarka and Somnath offer not only spiritual experiences but also stunning views of the Arabian Sea. These locations are perfect for relaxation and reflection, enhancing the overall pilgrimage experience.

Pilgrim tours to Divya Desams (Divine Abode) of Chola

There are around 108 temples that are revered by the verses of Alwars (12) and are amongst the holiest of Vishnu Temples.

82 of these temples are in Tamil Nadu. And 42 of these are in the Chola Nadu has the maximum number, as -ed above.

It's been several months since we actively posted on Facebook.

We're back with an announcement about PART 1 of a TWO PART Tour of (Vibrant) GUJARAT.

The first one is scheduled for OCTOBER 2024.

The last time we organized a HELP* Tour was in 2022
of South Tamilnadu (Parakirama Pandyas).

Here we're yet again organizing a similar themed tour.
This time in GUJARAT.

A brief about the Heritage Expert who will be
guiding us at the tour.

Smt. Anita is an Indologist who is passionate about the symbolism embedded in the art and architecture of Hindu temples. She led the team that setup the Somnath Temple Architecture Museum, a museum based on the remains of the yester centuries' Somnath temples and was inaugurated by the PM in Aug 2021.

Her book titled 'The Invincible Somnath Temple - Journey of Jiva to Shiva' published by Shree Somnath Trust is due for release, shortly. The book will guide readers to experience the temple as prescribed by the Shastras.

As a heritage expert she showcased the Heritage of Gujarat to the G20 summit delegates.

An eminent speaker on Hindu temples she has authored, presented, and published several papers on Temple Architecture, nationaly and internationaly.

Devara Thiruthalangal (Temples Sanctified by Devaram)

There are around 276 temples that are revered by the verses of Shaiva Nayanmars (the prominent FOUR*) and are amongst the holiest of Shiva Temples. 267 of these temples are in Tamil Nadu. And a good 190+ are on the banks of River Cauvery (North & South Banks).

Spread across SIX larger geographical areas (called as Nadu) within Tamilnadu, the Chola Nadu has the maximum number, as -ed above.

At CultureCircuits we had in our past episodes (about SIX Circuits) covered 60+ of the Chola Nadu Thevara Thiruthalangal.

In our forthcoming episode, we are organizing a tour of 10 temples in the District, Tamil Nadu, India.

had recently recognised the group of Hoysala monuments temples - identified as the sacred ensembles - as a World Heritage site.

At CultureCircuits we had wanted to provide an educative Heritage Tour. Our esteemed historian Thiru Raghavendra Rao Kulkarni immediately agreed to the request. More so, he gave a suggestive list of monuments that could be visited. A preparatory tour helped us understand the locale and plan the tour, better.

With 25 participants at the tour, arriving from eight (8) cities of South & Central India, it was a diverse geographic and demographic group.

The three day Educative Heritage Tour of the Hoysala Legacy was thoroughly enjoyed by the group. A mix of architecture, iconography, inscriptions, tales, history, quotes from Vedas, and humour all enthralled the audience.

We thank all the participants and look forward to more such events.

'The Sacred Ensembles' of the Hoysalas, a set of three intricate temples of Karnataka, are an exquisite example of the Hoysala dynasty’s artistry and cultural prowess.

Dating from the 12th to 13th CE, these complexes encompass hyper-real near life size sculptures, multi-tiered friezes, and stone carvings that cover the walls in its entirety.
