The Zanskar Winter Sports & Tourism Festival is the most popular festival celebrated in Zanskar in 2024. It was held from February 14th to 17th in Padum, the administrative center of Zanskar.

This year's festival marked the 11th edition of the event and was inaugurated by the Councilor Executive Councillor (CEC) of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Adv. Dawa Phunsog Dorjay.

Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort, received its first snowfall of the season on Sunday, despite prolonged dry weather in the rest of Kashmir Valley.

A meteorological department official said that the snowfall was recorded over the higher reaches of Gulmarg, and brought the temperature down to 15°C, which was 3°C lower than the previous day.
