Hiking to the Chamba Garh enroute Kaisdhar.Kaisdhar is a picturesque place used for hunting and relaxation by the Britishers probably from the late 19th century till the middle of 20th century.
The hike starts from Lot village and traverses through towering Cedar,Spruce,Fir and Oak forest.Chamba Garh hill provides a panaromic view of the Parvati range and also shows view of Deo Tibba(6001mtr)and Indrasan Peak(6221 mtr).Into the west the unexplored Lug Valley with its mountain barriers looks like a sleepy valley due to its remoteness.Sari Pass,which forms the border of Lug valley with Banghal Valley are snow covered at this time of the year.The old route to Kullu via Bubhu Pass is also visible to the naked eye from the Chamba Garh.The ruins of Chamba Garh are a mystery and could have served as a military outpost or could belong to a King or local Chiefs of the Lug or Maharaja valley.
