Kasmir tour with Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan 8 NIGHTS /9 DAYS
Katra 2 nights, Pahalgam 2 nights, Srinagar 4 nights
Day 1 : Mata Vaishno Devi Ji darshan
In the morning on arrival at Jammu, transfer to Katra. On arrival check in the hotel, freshen up, stay in leisure. Later proceed for Mata Vaishnodevi ji darshan.
A pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is considered to be one of the holiest pilgrimages of our times. Popular the world over as Moonh Maangi Muradein Poori Karne Wali Mata, which means, the Mother who fulfills whatever Her children wish for, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji resides in a Holy Cave located in the folds of the three peaked mountain named Trikuta (pronounced as Trikoot). The Holy Cave attracts millions of devotees every year. In fact, the number of Yatris visiting the Holy Shrine annually now exceeds one crore. This is due to the unflinching faith of the devotees who throng the Shrine from all parts of India and abroad.
The Holy Cave of the Mother is situated at an altitude of 5200 ft. The Yatris have to undertake a trek of nearly 12 km from the base camp at Katra. At the culmination of their pilgrimage, the yatries are blessed with the Darshans of the Mother Goddess inside the Sanctum Sanctorum- the Holy Cave. These Darshans are in the shape of three natural rock formations called the Pindies. There are no statues or idols inside the Cave.
Day 2 : Shivkhori
In the morning after breakfast visit Shivkhori or spent the rest of the day in leisure . Shri Shiv Khori cave is situated nearly 4.0 kms from Ransoo the base camp of the shrine, located in District Reasi. The distinct feature of the cave is a 4 feet high naturally formed 'Shivji Maharaj Lingam'. Other natural deities, inscribed on the stones are also present inside the cave. These deities symbolize 33 crore deities of Hindu Pantheon. Back to hotel, night stay in Katra.
Day 3 : Katra to Pahalgam (225 Km)
After breakfast, proceed for Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds. Drive through saffron fields; visit Awantipura ruins of an 1100 yr old temple of Lord Vishnu. Drive through the pine forest and along the Lidder River. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is in leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel in Pahalgam.
Day 4 : Pahalgam
Today after breakfast, proceed for Betab valley, Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named after the bollywood movie Betaab, earlier known as Hajan Valley. Visit Chandanwari, Starting point of Amarnath Yatra. Afterward proceed for trip to Aru Valley, a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river. Overnight stay at hotel in Pahalgam.
Day 5 : Pahalgam to Srinagar (90 kms)
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed for Srinagar, in arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up, proceed out for a walk around the beautiful Boulevard Road alongside the Dal Lake. Feel the crispiness and the alluring charm of Srinagar on this walking trail and also enjoy the amazing views of the Zabarwan Mountain Range. Afterward ride a Shikara for around 2 hours, return back to the hotel, overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 6 : Gulmarg (50 kms)
After breakfast proceed for Gulmarg. (2440 Meters above Sea level), it is one of the most beautiful hill station in this world and also called meadows of flower. It has world highest golf course (World Highest) and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing etc. Enjoy guided sightseeing of Gulmarg also enjoy Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilan. One can also have a short trek up to Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Return back to Srinagar. Overnight stay in hotel in Srinagar.
Day 7 : Sonmarg (80 kms)
Enjoy full day trip to Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold) also called Gateway to Laddakh. Sonmarg with altitude of 2690 Meters is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. Enjoy horse riding (optional) up to Thajwas glacier or sledge riding (optional) on snow. One can also visit Zero point by jeeps (optional) to see snow. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 8 : Srinagar
Visit Mughal gardens i.e. Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan and Chashme Shahi Bagh . All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountain range in the background. Also, visit Shankracharya Temple (which has 243 steps). Rest of the day in leisure or free for shopping on your own. Overnight stay at the Srinagar.
Day 9 : Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast proceed for onward return journey to nearby railway station/airport.
