ugh our Coffee plantation, our organic fruit garden, a special butterfly garden, spices & vegetable patch, all the way to the top where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Malakapara Tea Estates. We provide clean rooms with fresh linens and warm bedding. Our rooms have large, sound proof windows and semi-open balcony for undisrupted view of the natural beauty around. All rooms are well furnished with comfortable furniture and attached wet/dry western styled bathrooms. We also provide a driver’s room (with bathroom) for a nominal fee. Extra beds, towels and bedsheets available. We also provide Tour Packages and Travel Assistance.

Our Story

We started this Guest House in 2015 with a vision that families and children will enjoy the beauty and majesty of God’s creation around us. During that time Valparai was not known to be a holiday destination for families. We wanted to change that. We wanted to provide a facility that is clean, safe and hygienic for families to enjoy and feel at home.

Surrounded by a few acres of Coffee plantation, Petra Family Guest House is an ideal place for families and groups to enjoy, rest, relax and only a few meters away from Sholayar Dam and a two hour drive to Athirapally Falls. We provide ample Car Parking (within the premises) and our property is electric fenced to protect your family at night. We have a Nature Trail where you can walk through our Coffee and Spices plantation all the way to the top where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Malakapara Tea Estate. We provide clean rooms with fresh linen and warm bedding. Our Premium rooms have large, sound proof windows and semi-open balcony for undisrupted view of the natural beauty around. They are well furnished with comfortable furniture, 10” beds, LED tvs with Tata Sky and attached wet/dry western styled bathrooms.

Our Eco rooms are perfect for couples and budget travellers. They are our newest additions. Each room is cottage styled with bathroom attached and all basic amenities provided. Extra beds, towels and bedsheets for all rooms are available.

We provide accommodation for your driver with bathroom facilities at no extra cost. We also provide Tour Packages and Travel Assistance. We have strict No Smoking and No Drinking policy.
