We have set our base on a few acres of grassland on the rolling hills of the Western Ghats in Wayanad, Kerala, India. At Shola Shack Ecostay we strongly believe in ‘Sustainable Tourism’.

An increasing threat to native cultures and environment due to insatiable demand for resources from a changing world has been well documented across various geographies. This chaotic rush for “development” threatens to undermine the old ways of agricultural practices and judicious use of resources resulting in pushing native people and floral & faunal species to the brink of extinction. Though much work has been done by organizations - both governmental and non-governmental, the need to seriously address the problems faced by the environment and to change the current trend brought together a handful of dedicated and concerned individuals under the banner SHOLA SHACK ECOSTAY.
