9th December 2024- Pulse polio immunization across the identified booths
10th & 11th December 2024- Vaccinator will visit house to house and provide OPV drops

India is polio free since 2011 but still at the risk of re-emergence of polio due to the endemicity in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. For the same- vaccination by Oral Polio Vaccine is provided to the children below 5 years of age in the country during routine immunization as well as pulse polio campaign. As per the decision made by MoHFW Govt of India, 5 districts have been selected in the state of Meghalaya including East Garo Hills for the conduction of SNID Dec’24 round during 9th – 11th December 2024.
All the parents, citizens, stakeholder departments (Education, ICDS, Social Welfare, Nokma Council, MSRLS, Professional bodies like Indian Medical Association. Indian Academy of Paediatrics etc, other NGOs) are requested to support in the campaign so that 100% of the children in the age group 0-5 years can be vaccinated during the campaign and no child remains left.
