Visit Hawksill sea turtles on Qeshm Island, Iran

These turtles are critically endangered in International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list in all around the world. They are so close to be extinct in nature. This turtle is one of five sea turtle species in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea that she nests in sandy beach of Shibderaz village. The eggs hatch out from May to late July after about two months protection in an appropriate hatchery site.

Seeing turtles laying eggs and tiny babies hatching out of eggs are amazing nature events those attract many tourists to Shibderaz village.

Bottlenose dolphins arevery lovely marine mammals that we can visit them in dolphin bay between Qeshm and Hengam Islands. They swim in small groups in this protected area and visitors can see them from the safe distance in boats.

Qeshm (Qishm, Keshm) is the largest Iranian island in the Persian Gulf region and it's located in the strait of Hormuz.
The island has a surface area of 1491 square kilometers and is 2.5 times the size of Bahrain. Qeshm city is located at the easten point of the island, is 22 kilometers from Bandar Abbas city.
The island comprises 59 towns and villages and the population is approximately 100,000.
