The Anahita Temple is the name of one of two archaeological sites in Iran popularly thought to be attributed to the ancient Iranian deity Anahita. The larger and more known is located at Kangavar in Kermanshah and the other is located at Bishapur. 200 BC was proposed as the date of the site's construction and recent investigations proved it to be late Sasanian.

Taher Oryan, is one of the most revered poets in Persian literature. He was an 11th-century Persian dervish poet from Hamadan. He lived a mysterious lifestyle and held a high position in Sufism.
The old mausoleum of Baba Taher was built in the shape of an octagonal brick tower in 12th century. This tower was destroyed in the early 20th century. Therefore, in 1938, during the reign of Reza Pahlavi, Baba Taher Tomb was simply renovated. The construction of the new building of the Baba Taher mausoleum began in 1967, by the order of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Eventually, in 1970, the construction of the current building of Baba Taher Mausoleum was completed by Engineer Mohsen Foroughi in a field with an area of more than one hundred thousand square meters. 📸 Photo by

Aide Shoma Mobarak which means happy new year. As #persian new year is exactly starts of the spring each year, all persians are setting up their #haftsin tables. Happy #nowrooz Haft Sin (Haft Seen) is a traditional custom in the new year of Iranian known as Nowruz. Actually it is a table of 7 different items which are essential items all starting with character '' S ''(Sin-Seen "س"). "Sib" (Apple): it is a very common item in almost every Iranian household Haft seen. Its main symbolic definition is "Health". "Sabze" (Grass): It's also an inseparable item in Haft Seens, and its a symbol of Greenery, Nature and Exhilaration. according to some it is a symbol of Love too. "Senjed" (Sea-buckthorn): which symbolizes the wisdom and regeneration. In traditional medications Senjed was utilized to invigorate the brain and memory, and so it is considered as the symbol of wisdom in Haft-Seen. "Serkeh" (Vinegar): which symbolizes the Disinfection. Also some believes that it's a symbol for Surrendering and Satisfaction. "Samanu": (or Samanak, Samalak in Tajik, Sumalak in Uzbec, etc.) is a sweat paste made from wheat, which is especially prepared for Nowruz and it has a history in persian empire. It is a symbol for Power and Bravery. "Somaq" (Sumac): Sumac is a symbol for Patience and Tolerance. "Seer" (Garlic): Such as Sumac some people consider it as a stimulation symbol. Also some believe that it is Contentment symbol and not to invade others' rights. In Zoroastrian literature it is a symbol for Disinfection. "Sekkeh" (Coin) (symbol of Wealth), "Sonbol " (Hyacinth), "Sabzi" (Vegetable), "Sepand" (Peganum harmala), "Sormeh" (Kohl), etc which is symbol of wealth. "Ayyeneh" (Mirror): It is a common "non-Seen" item in Haft-Seens and it is a symbol of Light. Goldfish, it is the symbol for Pisces also known as Fishes, which was relevant in traditional Persian calendar. Iranians put goldfishes on Haft-Seen tabe to indicate that the new year starts from this month. Now
