Located in the historic center of Isfahan, the Masjed-e Jāmé (‘Friday mosque’) can be seen as a stunning illustration of the evolution of mosque architecture over twelve centuries, starting in ad 841. It is the oldest preserved edifice of its type in Iran and a prototype for later mosque designs throughout Central Asia. The complex, covering more than 20,000 m2, is also the first Islamic building that adapted the four-courtyard layout of Sassanid palaces to Islamic religious architecture. Its double-shelled ribbed domes represent an architectural innovation that inspired builders throughout the region. The site also features remarkable decorative details representative of stylistic developments over more than a thousand years of Islamic art.

📍Vakil Mosque is a historical mosque related to the Zandieh era and was built under the order of Karim Khan Zand. This mosque is located in the west of Vakil Bazaar. The main entrance is located in the northern side of the mosque, adorned with tiled stalactites, calligraphy, and stone friezes. The tile work features the unique Shirazi style of decoration which inspired its subsequent structures in the 18th century. The wooden door is a copy of the Zand era door broken during the Qajar era.
The architectural detail of Vakil Mosque is admirable but the most amazing parts are its three arches that are unrivaled in Shiraz at least: the arch above the entrance, the pearl arch, and the large seraglio arch. The carvings on these arches are too fabulous to be ignored.
The simplicity of the Iranian art and Persian paintings and writings on the walls, eye-catching tiling, and the delicate use of colors are all the beautiful details that immediately attract any visitors.

One of the most essential and ancient divine rituals that had and still have very respected followers both in ancient Iran and contemporary Iran is "Mazdisna's ritual" or "Zoroaster." According to Zoroastrian teachings, Ahuramazda is the superior God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. He is very kind, has dominion over the open and hidden secrets, and has created every creature. According to Zoroastrians, this God makes beauty and goodness. Ahura Mazda made the Primordial Bull Gavaevodata who was so beautiful it attracted the attention of Angra Mainyu who killed it. Ahura Mazda brought the body of the androgynous bull to the moon where it was purified and, from its purified seed, came all other animals. Ahura Mazda then made the first human, Gayomoartan, who was also killed by Angra Mainyu. From his purified seed came the first mortal couple – Mashya and Mashyanag – who lived in bliss until corrupted by Angra Mainyu's lies. They then lost paradise, but their descendants inherited the gift Ahura Mazda had given them of free will and so could choose for themselves whether to follow good or embrace evil. Ahura Mazda stood for all that was ennobling and righteous and encouraged people to be the best version of themselves.

The spice bazaar has a few shops selling herbal remedies, henna and natural perfumes. 📌Naser al-Din Shah Qajar & Shams-ol Emareh
Naser al-Din Shah who is also known as The Pivot of the Universe was the fourth king of Qajar dynasty and was one of the Iranian kings who ruled the country for over 50 years.👑 Naser al-Din Shah was the first modern Persian king who traveled to Europe many times and showed so much interest in European culture and life style. In one of his trips, he was impressed by western towers and skyscrapers. He decided to build the highest royal mansion in Iran so that he could watch Tehran views with his favorites and hosted special guests. He called this mansion Shams-ol Emareh, which means the “Sun of Royal Mansions.
Shams-ol Emareh has 5 floors. The first floor was dedicated to royal family whose eye-catching mirror work has given it a global reputation. The upper floors were used for temporary relaxation in refreshing afternoons where the king watched Tehran view, ate ice-cream and hosted his special guests. Bottom floors were also used for ceremony logistics.
One of interesting points about Naser al-Din Shah Qajar is his passion to have a collection of royal clocks, so that he always received clocks as gift. In one of his trips, Queen Victoria gifted him a clock which he ordered to be installed on top of Shams-ol Emareh Mansion. This clock became the first public clock in Iran and people used it to adjust their clocks. There were some stories about this royal clock narrated by locals one of which was about a pair of owls which lived inside the clock. The people believed when these owls showed themselves bad events happened. It is said that people had seen these owls when Naser al-Din Shah was assassinated. Also, Old Tehran book narrates the during the kingdom devolution era crows shredded the flag which was top of the clock. Today, Shams-ol Emareh is one of the popular and brilliant parts of Golestan Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and hosts many visitors from all around the world.

📍 Kashan’s historic bazaar is one of the best in Iran. Busy but not manic, traditional but with a nod at modern goods, large enough to surprise but not to get lost in, it’s a great place to wander for a couple of hours, especially in the late afternoon when the lanes are full of shoppers.✨️The multi-domed roof of the bazaar dates from the 19th century, but the site has been the center of trade in Kashan for almost 800 years. Kashan Bazaar has two main streets and lots of small alleys. 💎 Away from the streets and shops, there are mosques, bathhouses, caravansaries, and even tombs. 💫The most interesting ones are Aminoddole Caravansaray with magnificent dome and air well. Kashan Bazaar is considered one of the most thriving and glorious Bazaars of Iran, which reached its climax during the Safavid era, especially during Shah Abbas I.

Anahita Temple of Kangavar is Iran’s biggest stone structure after Persepolis and is located in Kangavar city, Kermanshah province. Ancient Persians believed that Anahita, the Goddess of Water, was the guardian angel of springs and water and a symbol of fertility, friendship, and love, so they built this temple to honor and respect her.
The system of water distribution inside the Anahita Temple is one of the masterpieces of ancient engineering, it was planned in a way that it perfectly displayed the holy element of water. There were four aisles that water passed through and reflected the images of the cow head on the four top sides.
This structure was used as a fire temple but after the advent of Islam in Iran, it changed a lot so there are some obscurities about its function, history, and architecture. The temple’s building has been divided into three periods of Achaemenid, Parthian, and Sassanid, although some believe that this monument was an unfinished palace of Khosrow Parviz, a king in the late Sassanid Empire.

📌Persian dance is an oriental art that has taken form over thousands of years recording the history of kingdoms and empires in Persia. The origins of Persian dance as an independent and unique artistic form date back to the emergence of Mithraism, when ancient Persia enjoyed flexibility in terms of gender roles when it came to dancing. The Qajar dynasty has had a huge influence on the current form of Persian dance. The Qajar sowed the seeds of Persian classical dance, particularly during the reign of Fath-Ali Shah who allocated a large part of the royal treasury to supporting all forms of art, including dance. “Persian dance” can range from sophisticated reconstructions of refined court dances to energetic folk dances. The movement vocabulary, costuming, music, demeanor, and context of these dances also vary widely. Persia possesses four categories of dance. These genres are chain or line dances; solo improvisational dance; war or combat dances; and ritual or spiritual dances. As a result, the term “Persian dance” can include all four historical dances, folk dances, urban dances, and ritualized movement.
The thing that distinguishes Persian dance is its focus on sensual expression through face and hands; to express feelings during a dance is what gives it a true Persian style. Male and female dancers focus on their various facial expressions, coordinating mouths and eyebrows along with intricate finger and shoulder movements.
