Today, we had the pleasure of taking 5 British journalists on an introductory tour around the area. They arrived on Saturday on the direct easyJet flights from Gatwick and Manchester. They enjoyed whale watching with Whale Watching Hauganes, tasting local food, and a tour of the local microbrewery Bruggsmiðjan Kaldi.

Welcome to Akureyri

The first easyJet flight of the season is set to arrive today at 2 p.m. This marks the second season that easyJet is operating flights from London Gatwick, with a new route from Manchester starting next week. The airline will offer flights twice a week between Akureyri and each of the two UK airports from early November through March 2025, on Saturdays and Tuesdays. A warm welcome to all our UK visitors!
