The Austvaðsholt farm, which is the heart of Hekluhestar, has the character of a family farm were the horses are the focal point of all activities. Join us on a Summer Night Ride in June, where you ride into the bright Icelandic night. If you
prefer a Day Ride, you can ride with us for one hour up to a day. If you can’t get enough of
riding you are welcome on our Highland tours – 6 and 8 day rides

. June to August we offer riding tours through lavafields and volcanic ash desert and other impressive scenery close to the famous volcano Hekla and Landmannalaugar. If you prefer hiking, make it more memorable and Hike with Packhorses

We are so lucky working with so many wonderful people and the family of are amongst them 🫶🏼 They have been fixing our saddles and tack for the last 30 years and making some beautiful bridles 🤩 they take care that the tack is comfortable both for our horses but for the riders also 👌🏼
