The book is now available for you!
My book about Iceland and the Famous Golden Circle has now been published and is available on Amazon! If you have already been on the tour, the book will remind you of everything you learned along the way and a lot more. The book is the perfect gift for anyone who has visited or will visit Iceland in the coming years. You can choose between an eBook and a Paperback version.

This book is about everything you need to know and more when visiting Iceland. Gunnsi, your professional Icelandic guide, takes you on an exciting and interesting journey to Iceland’s most popular route, the famous Golden Circle. Here you will learn about the formation of Iceland, the flora and fauna, Vikings, history, elves, trolls, and monsters, along with other fun stuff you will encounter on the Golden Circle. All the places mentioned in the book are also on an interactive map for your convenience on the go.

Elves, trolls, and monsters:
Stories of elves, trolls, and monsters! Do Icelanders still believe in elves? What do elves look like? Is Gunnsi an elf?

Settlers:
Who were the Vikings, and are there Vikings today? Were there any people in Iceland before their arrival?
Are the people living here today the descendants of the Vikings? Were the Vikings really brutal?

Geology:
How was Iceland formed, and is it still growing?

Animals:
Are there any indigenous animals in Iceland?
What animals did the Vikings bring with them?

Plants:
What plants did the Vikings bring with them, and why?

People then go out in the middle of the night in the hope that the activity on the sun few days earlier will be shown on the night sky when the ions hit the atoms of the atm...

This post was removed by Facebook earlier and I believe it was a mistake.

We want to tell the people who want to visit Iceland, that there is no danger for them to do so. The eruption is on the Reykjanes peninsula, an area that can easily be avoided and is not close to any of the attractions on the Golden circle or the Ring road. Faraway from Snæfellsnes peninsula, westfjords, the north and the east.

There is no imminent danger from the volcanic eruption that is now going on.

See our blog about it by clicking the link below where you also find a live stream.

Mice and Cotton grass!
https://wix.to/lVctDOW

There are two types of cotton grass in Iceland. One has only one head, while the other can have many. Both were used to make a wick for oil lamps. However, the seeds were often a problem and slowed down the process. An old piece of advice from Skagafjörður in the north of Iceland to get rid of the...

The first day of summer in Iceland is today. 🌞

Today is the first day of summer in Iceland, but it has nothing to do with weather, i.e., wind and temperature. It is merely the fact that in the old Icelandic calendar there were only two seasons, i.e., summer and winter. Harpa, or English Harp, is the name of the first summer month, and it always....

Iceland is one of the safest places in the world, despite the eruption. 🥰

Unfortunately bad news sell better than the good ones. Also a lot of social media seems to thrive on shocking and extreme video clips. It has come to our attention that people are reluctant to travel to Iceland because of the ongoing eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula. Because of the eruptions and e...

Where did the hidden people come from?

In Iceland, there are many elves, trolls, and dwarfs, but no fairies or leprechauns; they are in Ireland. The elves, trolls, and dwarfs are usually hidden from us humans. The following story explains why that is. A long, long time ago, when Adam and Eve lived in Paradise, God came unexpectedly for a...

There is no Santa Claus in Iceland! What then?

Yes, you read it right. There is no Santa Claus in Iceland; it hasn’t been and won’t, at least not in the near future. Fear not, or maybe fear more; there are actually thirteen so called Yule Lads. These are the sons of two ferocious trolls, Grýla and Leppalúði. Grýla is their mother, thousa...

The hope is up! Looks like the Eruption has come to an end!

Early this morning, the Icelandic Met Office sent a drone to fly over the eruption site and found that the eruption has now stopped. There doesn’t seem to be any activity, but it is to early to say that all the activity has come to an end. People don’t dare to celebrate just yet, but the hope is...
