Today, we’re excited to introduce Federica, our receptionist extraordinaire and TikTok queen 🎥✨

📌 Hi! Can you tell us a bit about yourself? Where are you from, and what’s your role at KuKu?
✨ Hi everyone! I’m Federica, but everyone calls me FeFe. I’m from Italy, and I work as a receptionist at KuKu. Oh, and I’m also the company’s TikTok star! 😎

📌 When did you join KuKu, and why did you pick Iceland of all places?
✨ I arrived in January 2024. I originally planned to stay for just five months, but here I am a year later! I came to Iceland on a whim after finishing my master’s degree, saw a job listing, and applied. It turned out to be the best decision of my life!

📌 What’s the best part of working at KuKu Campers?
✨ The amazing atmosphere and the team! Customers only see a small part of what we do, but there’s a whole group of people working hard behind the scenes. Coming to work is always fun because I know I’ll face the day with an incredible team by my side.

📌 Have you explored Iceland since you arrived? What’s your favorite spot?
✨ I’ve had the chance to take a few trips, each unique in its own way. My favorite place? Honestly, probably the one I haven’t discovered yet! Iceland is breathtaking no matter where you go, but one highlight was my first camper trip to Akureyri for skiing, just two weeks after I arrived. 🏂🏽​ Unforgettable!

Here’s the scoop: Iceland’s F-roads take you through the country’s most rugged, remote landscapes, perfect for a 4x4 adventure!

But a heads-up: no insurance (not even Platinum!) covers undercarriage or engine damage when crossing rivers 💧🚫

Plus, some routes are strictly OFF-LIMITS, even for our 4x4 vans, thanks to wild rivers and unpredictable glacier floods 🌊

​🪛​ Hi everyone! I’m Katarina, aka KuKu Mama, here to make sure you get the best van experience possible – and yes, I’m definitely the nicest person who has access to your credit card! 😆

📌 That sounds cool! So, what exactly do you do at KuKu?
​🪛​ I handle daily operations, help out shift managers with roadside assistance, and make sure our fleet is up to everyone’s expectations. All in a day’s work!

📌 What’s the best part of your day?
​🪛​ Coffee time ☕ Haha, just kidding! But really, it’s the end of the day, knowing everyone’s safe and had a crazy KuKu Adventure. I also love hearing about customers’ trips and how they’re already planning the next one!

✨ Meet Louise, the heart of our team!

📌 Hi there! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?
🌱 Hi everyone! I’m Louise, straight from Paris (yes, I know… nobody’s perfect, right? 😉)

📌 What’s been your role here at KúKú?
🌱 As shift manager, I’ve made sure the gears run smoothly each day. From the reception desk to our cleaning crew, mechanics, and road assistance, I coordinated it all to get those campers ready for adventure. I’m the “gentle tyrant” who loves an organized, dynamic day 😈✨

📌 What brought you to KúKú and Iceland?
🌱 A chance! After finishing my Master’s in tourism, I came to KuKu as an intern—and then stayed for 3 years!

📌 What’s the most unforgettable thing you experienced here?
🌱 There are many, but handling road assistance tops the list! Like the time I got a call from customers stranded on top of their car in the middle of a river 😱 They were okay, the car... not so much 😅

📌 What will you miss the most?
🌱 The people, without a doubt. I’ve met amazing coworkers who truly bring the KuKu spirit to life every day! I’m sad to leave, but I know we’ll stay friends for life. 🍻

📌 What’s the most breathtaking place you’ve seen in Iceland?
🌱 Ásbyrgi canyon in the North! The vibe is just really eerie and mystical, like you’re being watched over by the Hidden People 🧝‍♂️​🧝‍♀️​🧝✨
