Have you heard of..

The 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 - a 6-day hut-to-hut hiking tour that we have been pioneering in cooperation with 57hours as an alternative to the world famous Laugavegur trek.

https://57hours.com/adventure/hiking-tour-iceland-hut-to-hut/

The trip shares a lot in common with the Laugavegur trek but has many qualities that make it an absolutely unique experience.

✅ Away from the crowds (it's still our little secret)
✅ Very unique and diverse landscapes - glaciers, lava fields, moss fields, and more!
✅ Located in the central highlands, one of the most remote places in Iceland.
✅ Easier to hike than Laugavegur, with optional challenges for the more experienced hiker
✅ Rich in history and folklore - Vikings, trolls, outlaws, thieves, ghosts, and more!
✅ Incredibly tasty traditional Icelandic food cooked in the very relaxing mountain huts that we stay in throughout the trip.

The volcano has erupted, and it is bigger and more powerful than the previous three eruptions. This is the fourth eruption in that area in the last three years.

The eruption is confined to an area in the Reykjanes peninsula (southwest Iceland) and is not affecting Reykjavik.
It is not affecting flights in or out of Iceland.

There is still some uncertainty about whether the fissure will affect the town Grindavik (which was evacuated on November 11th)
