The next group using our services when visiting Iceland is a professional football club, FC Maribor from Slovenia that is coming to Iceland July 9th-11th to play against FC Valur (Reykjavik) in the Champions League, 1st Qualifying Round.
We welcome them to Reykjavik and Iceland next week.

Mankato Utd. from Minnesota, USA brought yet another soccer group to Iceland this week, through a colleague and good friend Rob Pipal. This time an U16 boys team that played a friendly against local club KR (Reykjavik). KR´s head-youth-coach Siggi Vidisson has a direct link to Liverpool´s legendary manager Bill Shankly through a story that shows, again, that football/soccer is all about friendship and respect!

We have had a couple of US soccer groups in Iceland this week, in stop-over on their way to Europe. Minnesota Thunder was a nice group of 15-17 years old girls who visited the Blue Lagoon, went horse back riding, played friendly matches against FC Fylkir etc. They had a nice time afterwards in a thermal pool as well as watching a semi final at the World Cup along with the Icelandic girls while have pizza and fun. My good friend, Tobi Thorsell, wife Sharon and daughter Annika are always very welcome guests and we hope to see them again soon.
Soccer is all about friendship !

Another beautiful day in Reykjavik when Valur (Reykjavik) G-14 played against an American team at the champions of Iceland main stadium. At the same time FC Víkingur B-18 faced another American team. Both local clubs were very welcoming and hospitable so it was a good day for soccer and new friendships.

This week we have a visit from 2 soccer teams from USA.
Both stay and train in Hveragerdi, a nice little town 30 min. from Reykjavik. Each team plays friendly matches against local teams and enjoys various tours and activities during their week´s stay in Iceland this Easter.

Rob Pipal, a soccer coach from USA and a good friend, came to Iceland this week for the 9th time with soccer teams. His Mankato Utd. from Minnesota yesterday played 2 matches against local club Fylkir in Reykjavik. Rob is here seen with his beautiful daughter/assistant coach, Hoerdur Hilmarsson from IT Travel and Tomas Ingi Tomasson, head-youth-coach at FC Fylkir and ex-Iceland U-21 coach.
