This tour will whisk you away on a sweet exploration of Reykjavik’s vibrant cityscape and the mighty mountains that rise in the distance embracing the world’s northernmost capitol. On this excursion, we cover Reykjavik City, Hvalfjordur and Glymur waterfall. You will be able to witness the entire city region, including its colorful roof tops, parks, and other neighborhoods.

You will explore the breathtaking Hvalfjörur (Whale Fjord), a 30 km long fjord surrounded by volcanic mountains and lush terrain in the summer, is located north of Reykjavk, separating Mount Esja from the town of Akranes.

You will also experience Glymur, which has a cascade height of 198 metres and is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland. When Morsárfoss, a recently measured waterfall close to Morsárjökull, was measured in 2011, it overtook it as the tallest. It can be found near the back of the Hvalfjörur.

The duration of the tour is 25-35 minutes approximately.

The volcanic eruption at Sundhnúka continues to evolve, with the northernmost lava tubes moving slowly but steadily. These tubes have spread north of Stóra Skógfell, flowing atop the lava from August’s eruption.

According to the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the northern lava tongue is not currently threatening any infrastructure, but it’s a reminder of the power and ongoing activity of Iceland’s volcanic landscape.
