The white-beaked dolphin🐬, a robust creature sporting a distinctive white beak as its name suggests, frequents the cool, subarctic waters around Iceland. These sociable mammals often travel in groups, which can sometimes number in the hundreds, slicing through the North Atlantic's waves with grace and speed. White-beaked dolphins are particularly drawn to the rich feeding grounds provided by Iceland's continental shelf, where they hunt for fish and squid. Their acrobatics and playful demeanor make them a favorite among whale-watchers. With their dark grey backs, lighter flanks, and white undersides, they are not just striking in appearance but also in their adaptability to the dynamic marine environment. However, like many marine species, they face threats from human activities, including habitat degradation and bycatch. Conservation efforts are crucial to ensure these remarkable dolphins continue to thrive in Iceland's marine ecosystem
