Puffins are one of my favourite birds, as many of you already know. The Atlantic Puffin was originally discovered by French zoologist Mathurin Jacques Brisson in 1760 and labeled as part of the Fratercula arctica genus. They are part of the Alcidea family, breed in large colonies along the sea shores (often in burrows), feed by diving deep into the water (up to 60m) and beat their wings rapidly (almost like a hummingbird) up to 400 times per minute. They are adorable, clumsy, and make for great wildlife models if you know which locations to explore.
