The 2020 fishing season was good, even though most of our foreign guests could not make it because of the Corona virus. We hope everyone can travel next spring and we are dreaming of next summer already. The trout can be seen in great numbers at the spawning grounds these days and many have gone to The river Öxará which is their main spawning ground to watch this unbelievable show by nature.

Finally the season has started at our world famous ION beats.
Stefan Bjarnason with a 87 cm fantastic brown trout from this morning.
It’s bit windy now so it’s quite hard to fish at the moment,but still they have already caught around 15 fish

Everybody is counting down the days to have a change to get the record brown trout, the biggest for the 2017 season was 105 cm 27 lbs, and many fish over 20 lbs were caught,
I think we will get some fish well over 30 lbs this season
