Iceland Trail Race Trip is the trip of a lifetime! It includes the 5VH Trail Run. If you do the trip, you don´t have to register for the Race. Do Iceland the runner’s way! Yet with plenty time in between to be a tourist on your own. Last year’s trip was a success and people from four different countries bonded and had a wonderful group chemestry.

Iceland Backyard Ultra

Arctic Running hosted the first ever Iceland Backyard Ultra in September 2020. The race was only introduced locally. It sold out quickly and was a huge success. For the 2021 race, international runners are encouraged to participate in this awesome race which takes place in the Reykjavík Capital area. We did a longer version of the Hot Spring Valley Tour with Steve Disch yesterday. We had great fun! Steve suggested we would take dip in the near by cold river between sessions of enjoying the 38 C/100 F warm river. Why didn’t I think about that before 😄

Unlocking Kiki is an interesting online travel blog dedicated to sharing unique sights, experiences, and insider tips to Iceland from the perspective of a foreigner (Kaelene) living in Iceland. Kaelene says about Reykjadalur: "Reykjadalur is a hiking trail..., a short 40 minute drive from Reykjavik. Reykjadalur directly translates to “steam valley” and it holds true to its name with steam floating in the air everywhere on this hike!" "Do you see that magical water in the distance? I basically took off running towards it, I mean its not every day you stumble across a freakishly blue pool of water!... Amazing! It really was like discovering our own mini Blue Lagoon."
