Our best day is when we can share a great experience with you. Our today's passenger Sherri sent us a video of the current eruption with the message: "It was our pleasure to meet and fly with you"
We are now experiencing the 5th volcanic eruption in Reykjanes area in just under 3 years. The earlier eruptions have been unharmful and truly spectacular to watch. The current one is something else. Now we are encountering a true natural disaster where the people of Grindavik are hit the hardest. Already, (when this is written 24 hours into the event) vital infrastructures have been damaged and homes have been lost. Our hearts and thoughts are first and foremost with the people of Grindavik.
We will continue to offer trips to explore the eruption areas in Reykjanes but, as of now, we will keep a safe distance, minimum 2nm, from the current one and the town of Grindavik. We truly hope the best for the people of Grindavik and will donate ISK 1.000,- on every seat sold on those tours to the Icelandic Red Cross fund raising for the people of Grindavik.
