Need protection against the night walkers?

Everyone who watches Game of Thrones knows that dragonglass is one of the most effective weapons against the white walkers.

(a.k.a. obsidian) is volcanic glass that forms in nature when lava cools down very rapidly. The conditions needed for volcanic glass to form are, however, rather unusal and it is therefore quite rare in nature.

Here’s where it becomes interesting. Playing with molten lava is what we do. In our unique lava show we pour red-hot lava (1100 degrees Celcius / 2000 degrees Farenheit) over ice in a showroom full of people. When the lava hits the ice, not only does it make up for a spectacular battle between the elements, it also cools the lava down extremely fast. Guess what that means? YES! We make DRAGONGLASS!

Sound healing journey under a glacier
Join Arnór for a magical journey, something you will not experience anywhere else in the world.
To start with, Snæfellsjökull (Snæfells Glacial) is one of the most famous sites of Iceland, primarily due to the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864) by Jules Verne, in which the protagonists find the entrance to a passage leading to the center of the earth on Snæfellsjökull. By Snæfellsjökull is a cave called Sönghellir (Sing cave), it is a famous cave known for its echoes. The cave is on the northern side of mount Stapafell which overlooks the small fishing village Arnarstapi on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The name means the cave of songs and is derived from the acoustic resonance inside the cave. In Sönghellir I will play on my Tibetan Singing Bowls which have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes.

You are welcome to join me for a magical journey, something you will not experience anywhere else in the world. Enjoy a beer with Otto Tynes, a local beer enthusiastic and a drinker, in a beer drinking and tasting tour in central Reykjavik.

Did you know that there are over 60 types of local beers in Iceland, which one is your favorite?

I am not a professional beer brewer but I have a general knowledge of the Icelandic beer scene (as a beer enthusiastic ...
