The route to the volcanic eruption in Geldingardalir (Fagradalsfjall) on Reykjanes in March 2021. Snow on the ground, blue sky, path from the parking lot in the middle, golden ocean in the distance and geothermal steam rising up from the ground on the far right, just to add a bit to the clouds on the left side.

That was the first eruption in the ongoing geologically active period on the Reykjanes peninsula that is foreseen to last for many more years to come although there is no eruption right now. The latest one ended 8 December and it was the 10th eruption from 2021. Before 2021, the previous active period on the peninsula was 800 years ago, longer than any modern man remembers.

🎤🎸🥁 Iceland Airwaves 2024 finished last weekend.

"I simply entered the zone from the first tone to the last due to brilliant lyrics and melodies that caught the audience and kept them half-hypnotized (but also singing along and dancing) until the end of the final song." - from the description of one of this year's concerts.
