Our Story

Into the Glacier offers one of the most unique tourist attractions in the world: a man-made ice cave with tunnels that reach deep into Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull. Getting to the ice caves is half the fun! You ride in a specially outfitted, eight-wheel ice-truck from base camp to the tunnel entrance on the glacier. Once inside, explore the natural ice formations while learning about the effects of climate change on Iceland’s ancient ice-caps from specially trained glacier guides. Daily departures from Reykjavík and Húsafell.
