🌋⚠️Update from Iceland: Last night, a volcanic eruption began around 22:00 at the Reykjanes Peninsula. This situation has been brewing for weeks, but fortunately, it’s in a location that minimally affects nearby homes and infrastructure. ✈️At the moment, the impact on travel and tourism is minimal. Flights have not been affected by the situation and Into the Glacier tours are operating normally. The area affected by this eruption is quite limited and does not impact most people in Iceland. Our Story
Into the Glacier offers one of the most unique tourist attractions in the world: a man-made ice cave with tunnels that reach deep into Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull. Getting to the ice caves is half the fun! You ride in a specially outfitted, eight-wheel ice-truck from base camp to the tunnel entrance on the glacier. Once inside, explore the natural ice formations while learning about the effects of climate change on Iceland’s ancient ice-caps from specially trained glacier guides. Daily departures from Reykjavík and Húsafell.
