🌋The earth has opened up once again on the Reykjanes Peninsula. An eruption started on 22 August 2024 and this is what you should know for now:

⛑️ Everyone is safe!
✈️ Iceland is safe to visit. Flights to Iceland are not affected by the eruption!
🚌Our tours are still operating as usual, excluding transfers to the Blue Lagoon. Our tour itineraries are not near the site
🌋The area is restricted and being monitored by authorities. Authorities are urging the public to avoid the vicinity for their safety and that of the emergency response teams.

The parade starts at 2 pm by Hallgrímskirkja church and marches down Skólavörðustígur, Bankastræti, Lækjargata, and Fríkirkjuvegur where the parade concludes. From 3 pm, there will be outdoor concerts at Hljómskálagarður and around the city. Music, speeches and powerful performances are to be expected!
