After seeing a few dozens waterfalls, a client asked us "how many waterfalls are the in Iceland, really??". He was obviously expecting just the few famous ones. There are so many waterfalls around the country in all sizes and shapes. Here are two brother waterfalls, the big brother and small brother with their big beautiful basalt coloumns archs to top things off.

The Budir church on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The first church was built there in 1703. It was later demolished and a new one constructed. Among the valuable possessions of the church are a bell from 1672, an altarpiece from 1750, an old silver chalice, two messing candlesticks from 1767, and a door ring from 1703.

Chasing waterfalls and finding new and exciting locations is a true passion of ours. Here’s a hidden gem which very few know about. It’s so much more fun enjoying nature up close close like this. Getting wet is not a problem, just part of the process and enjoy it! ☔️🎉

Kirkjufell (Icelandic: Church Mountain) is a 463 m high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. It is claimed to be the most photographed mountain in the country. Kirkjufell was one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones season 6 and 7, featuring as the "arrowhead mountain" that the Hound and the company north of the Wall see when capturing a wight.

Hraunfossar waterfalls (Lava waterfalls). 5 pictures stitched together to make a panorama. Hraunfossar (Borgarfjörður, western Iceland) is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 meters out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river from ledges of less porous rock in the lava. The name comes from the Icelandic word for lava (hraun) and the word for waterfalls (fossar).

On our way on the Snæfellsnes Peninusla yesterday, bridge with huge amounts of snow piled up. Two tourists tried to be clever and drive through the snow but ended on top of it, completely stuck! Making clearence very difficult for the machinery and kept us all waiting for ages.

Hjálparfoss is one of the locations almost always shot straight on. But if you are ready to get cold and wet you can get unique angles to the waterfall such as this one where you are just standing on the semi submerged basalt columns.
