City Walk was launched on 7th may 2014 with a "Free" Walking tour as main attraction which quickly became a mandatory part of a visit to Iceland amongst visitors. The tour was the best rated one on Tripadvisor within months and additional staff was recruited to hold on to the theme and receive the traffic. Today we have activities for visitors throughout the year and service groups as well as individuals. We are looking forward to seeing you soon! The CityWalk team

We had a special guest appearance today on our 13:30 City Walk with our guide . Orri, Iceland’s only arborist, was attending to the oldest tree in Reykjavík with his crew. Orri gave an impromptu presentation on Icelands forestation, or lack of should we say. He told us the reason behind the lack of trees and the state of forestation Iceland today. Our guides can tell you all about it and you can see this beautiful old tree on your next walk with us!

How cool is this job? These few people just renewed overnight a pipe that the lava had melted yesterday. Thousands of people in Reykjanes had to deal with a cold night in their homes but thanks to the new pipe geothermal water run through their homes again!

Shocking photo! But believe it or not, Everything is under FULL CONTROL and the lava flow is going where previously was predicted. Headlines in media and photos can be very misleading. Of course this is yet another shock to deal with but all people are safe and life is somewhat normal for 99% of Icelanders. The Blue Lagoon was never as much fun as the in anyways 😉
