Last night December 18th at 10:17 pm it started to erupt near the Blue lagoon.
Luckily, the eruption is out in a field in safe distance from the Blue Lagoon, the town Grindavík, and all infrastructure so there is no damages and no people at risk.
Unlike the last three eruptions in this area, this eruption is quite larger and visible from the highway from Reykjavik to the airport.
I went with my camera last night at 2:00 am to the crossroads to the Blue lagoon and got few photos of the view of this amazing natural phenomenon.

We have had a good December month, clear skies most evenings and some northern lights on all our tours except one. The month started with a blast and another breathtaking northern lights show on December 16th.
Unfortunately some nights are cloudy and we must cancel our northern lights tour due to minimum chances of seeing northern lights in cloudy skies. But most people are able to reschedule to another night and see the northern lights with us.

This is what it’s all about. Absolutely amazing northern lights show that lady Aurora decided to bring on on December 1st.

We have got amazing northern lights on most of our tours this November.
Yesterday November 19th was a success after driving away from the clouds that were covering the skies over and around the city.
Two full buses guided by Siggi and Thomas went back home after the tour with happy customers.

What a difficult night February 26th. Weather forecast predicted clear skies but it turned out to be all cloudy. With determination and squeeze of stubbornness we found a brake in the clouds, and what a beautiful northern lights show we saw.

First half of January gave us some of the most spectacular northern lights showing for many years. The 15th was the best and the 17th came close. The most memorable about those two days was that the expectation was low as the northern lights forecast was just Kp1 very low.
We know that northern lights forecasts are not reliable but can give a hint.

The Northern lights activity is different from day to day, and the Northern lights always surprise us. Those lights appeared on a night with low activity predicted. Beautiful light show we got.

So far this September has been giving us amazing northern lights shows , with visible colors and beautiful dancing lights. With just moderate or low forecast it’s just more amazing to see northern lights so much more than expected.
Like normally we are not able to do tours every night as it is regularly cloudy or rainy in Iceland, but we do our best to reschedule our customers to another night so everyone that is booked with us can witness this beautiful natural phenomenon.
