One day in the city, how to get the most out of it!

If you don’t have much time, you don’t even have to leave the city. Not only does Reykjavík offer a variety of great museums, restaurants, cafés, and shops, it also has spectacular views of the mountains surrounding the city, right from the city center. If you’re staying in the city and want...

Since we have another game in the World Cup today we wrote a little piece about Iceland and Football.

Go Iceland!

http://blog.shorexiceland.is/iceland-and-football-soccer/

The reason for this is a strong connection between Iceland and the horses. If you look back to when...

So what will we share with you today... Ice cream!

Cause Icelanders don´t care about the weather it´s always weather for ice cream :)

So this is a thing. We love ice cream! I have no way of explaining how this began but I can tell you that we really got good at making it. If you get there on a sunny day, there will be long lines and at a glance look like you would have to wait there for a long time. But on days like that, there ar...

Want to know more about Iceland?
Take a look at what we say about this museum!

One of my personal favorites Out of all the museum you could go to while you’re staying in Reykjavík this is the one that I would say you can´t miss. A big part of our history is connected to our harbors and fish. This museum shows you that part. Inside you can find few exhibitions that will sta...

something to do with your time while you're not on an excursion with us.
There is even a little story in this one ;)

They are worth it. Just so you know that the naturally heated lagoons that we have are not the same as our pools. The pools are man-made and we just use the geothermal heat to warm them up. You can find some lagoons around the country but they are naturally heated and are not inspected or made sure....

We just love our glaciers

Iceland is covered by over 4,500 square miles of glaciers, and they are located in all of the nation’s regions. The largest, Vatnajökull, is Europe’s largest glacier and covers a staggering 8% of the country.
