Two years ago we were the smallest nation to join the European Championship. But we did not stop there cause now Iceland is the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup! Fun fact: First women to vote in Iceland was in Akureyri, at that time it wasn´t legal but she did it anyway. This was on March 31st, 1863!

They are worth it. Just so you know that the naturally heated lagoons that we have are not the same as our pools. The pools are man-made and we just use the geothermal heat to warm them up. You can find some lagoons around the country but they are naturally heated and are not inspected or made sure....
