Today it is the 4th Thursday in November, so.. Happy Thanksgiving Day from Exit Sicily Travel! 😁 🇺🇸
It is a national holiday in the USA and commemorates the Plymouth Colony's harvest after the hardships of the winter (the Plymouth Colony was the 1st English settlement in the New World).
People use to stay together and thank God for everything they have.
Traditional meals are, among others, the turkey and the pumpkin pie.

Hello everybody! 😁

Here we are with the last stage of our posts dedicated to the of , the building in the wonderful , Agrigento.
The name "Phalaris" recalls a , according to which Phalaris's palace was located right here:
"Phalaris was the cruel tyrant of Akragas ("Agrigento" in Greek) in the 6th century BC, sadly famous also for his hollowed bronze used to torture his enemies, built by Perillo, a bronze worker. Phalaris used to close people inside the bull and then light a fire under it, roasting them. The victims' screams seemed the roars of a real bull. According to a terrible version of the myth, Phalaris himself was victim of his horrible creation".

Hello everybody 😊! Today let's go to Isola delle Correnti, Portopalo di Capo Passero (province of Syracuse), the southernmost point of Sicily! 😍
Capo Passero is one of the three promontories of Sicily, together with Capo Lilibeo
(west, Trapani) and Capo Peloro (northeast, Messina).
Portopalo is a tiny town whose main resources are fishing and agriculture.
