Casa Leana is a gorgeous farmhouse built in 1650 situated outside the medieval town of Anghiari
Sleeps up to 10 people, this five bedroom 17th Century farmhouse has a lot to offer. It has 14 rooms in total and is set in a small hamlet within classic Tuscan countryside vista and yet is only 10 minutes from the famous medieval hilltop town of Anghiari. Rome, Florence, Chianti and Siena are also within easy access via road and railway.

Our third group of the season and our third great review. Last week's guests were celebrating two special birthdays. They managed to get out and about on the CL bikes, visited beautiful Florence by train and also enjoyed a Casa Leana first - an in house wine tasting with the lovely Claudia not to mention a trip to the local olive mill with a fabulous lunch included.

THREE NEW TUTORED ACTIVITIES AT CASA LEANA FOR 2024!
In-house Wine Classes, Pizza and Pasta Making Classes
Great news! We’ve added three new activities for our guests to experience while staying at Casa Leana.
Claudia will be running wine classes/tastings. Claudia is a wine expert/Sommelier and has been working in the wine trade for many years. She will take you through the basics of wine tasting, while exploring how sight, smell and taste contribute to the experience.
Alberto will be running pizza making and pasta making classes from the Casa Leana kitchen. Alberto is a specialist in preparing pizza and breads using natural sourdough, local organic flour made with the ancient techniques of stone grinding.
For the pasta making classes Alberto will show you how to prepare tagliatelle, filled ravioli and teach you the secrets and history behind the traditional way to prepare pasta.
Welcome on board Claudia and Alberto! We hope our future guests will enjoy these wonderful additions to the services we offer.
We still have two weeks left (one in May and one in September) this year so why not come and join in the fun…

Picked up a bargain from one of our local second hand shops this week. Little bit of elbow grease and voila, we have a lovely garden set. Cannot tell you how heavy it is! And it had to be taken to the very bottom lawn.. phew

Our 2nd week of guests and a 2nd five star review! What a start to the season. Our group last week were celebrating a 50th birthday so we organised yoga, wine and olive oil tastings, a Tuscan Feast cooked by our lovely neighbour and a cake from one of the local bakeries. As you can see from the glowing review they had a wonderful time here in Tuscany and we are in no doubt we will see them again in the not too distant future. Thank you to them for being such great guests and to all the locals for making their holiday in this very special part of the world, one to remember forever. www.casaleanatuscany.com
***** Beautiful Tuscan House. Perfect Hosts
Within a couple of hours of a relatively straight forward drive from Pisa airport, Casa Leana offers everything we could have asked for. Beautiful house, beautiful views, the best hosts - fantastic recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. We nipped in to Pisa on arrival ( we chucked our bags into the hire cars and then took taxis in - seems easier, about €12) - a couple of hours here with the other tourists holding up the tower was just about right) . We were lucky with the weather and therefore split our days with visits to Anghiari (10 mins), Citerna (20 mins) Citta di Castillo (30 mins, beautiful), Arezzo on market day ( (30 mins) , and lazing by the pool with the most perfect views. We ate out, we bbq’d, we had a meal cooked by the next door neighbour, we picnicked! Had a fantastic day with Ravagni - wine and olive oil tasting, fantastic lunch with Francesco, the most amazing host/owner/tour guide/ entertainer! We were going to visit Firenze but are saving that for our next visit, purely due to time. A week isn’t enough - every village or town we stopped off at were perfect. Casa Leana itself is in a perfect location in a tiny hamlet overlooking fields and distant hills. The sunrise snd sunsets are great to watch from the balcony. Friendly neighbours, one even brought a bunch of flowers picked from her garden for my wife’s birthday. Bedrooms, living areas, games room, balconies all fantastic. Honestly, we cannot recommend Casa Leana, with the back up of Di and Leigh, highly enough. Don’t book it when we want to go though. Or tell anyone…

Di and Leigh, our second visit and just as beautiful as we remembered it! We went to Rome, Pisa, Assisi, Gubbio. Had beautiful dinners, all recommended by you! We would recommend water rafting at T-Rafting, a fantastic day with the most helpful guides - beautiful scenery. We made the most of your stunning pool, bbq and patio areas and enjoyed the neighbour's cooking for a second time. Thank you for all your help and advice... We will be back! Gutteridge and Long Family xx

This week’s group are doing particularly well with produce from the Casa Leana garden. The strawberry harvest seems to have slowed down but the tomatoes, apples, figs and damsons are more than making up for it. Time to get the jam and chutney recipe books out again! We hope to have enough to pop a jar or two in our ‘Welcome’ hampers next season.
We have given our website a little bit of a refresh with some new images of the house and gardens.
