Panettone

🍞This famous Italian sweet bread studded with raisins and candied orange and lemon peels is traditionally enjoyed for Christmas. Often exchanged as a gift among friends and family, panettone represents an act of kindness and a wish for a happy holiday.🍰

🔝Being made with lots of butter, honey, and raisins - it was known as pan de ton, meaning the bread of luxury, hence the name panettone. Panettone remains one of the most popular Italian delicacies as well as one of Italy's most exported products.

Camilla starts with ; a Danish Christmas dessert made of wheat flour, mixed with buttermilk, milk or cream, eggs, sugar and a pinch of salt. Served with jam and powdered sugar (traditionally they were cooked with apple) so the name literally means apple slices in Danish.

; Finnish Christmas pastry made from puff pastry in the shape of a star ⭐filled with prune jam and dusted with powdered sugar.

: Irish fruit cake, made with candied or dried fruit, nuts, spices, and flavored with Irish whiskey. 😉

; are among the seven sorts of cookies that are a must at Christmas-time 🎁for Norwegians. They are made of flour, butter, eggs and sugar. Eaten plain or filled with whipped cream or other fillings.

; Typical Christmas dessert from Puglia south Italy, made of flour, extra virgin olive oil, sugar, eggs and pinch of salt and dry white wine. They are covered with honey or cooked must (vincotto).😋
