The truth is, that hospitality is a great way to meet people and families that we would not have had the joy and pleasure to encounter was it not for sharing a deep appreciation of this happy spot we discovered many years ago and refurbished leaving the center of attention to the gentle wilderness and nature that surrounds it. And when these special guests leave, and take a piece of that understanding, that profound appreciation of beauty with them, we remember why we decided to open our doors in the first place…

Café Madame Rêve at Hotel Madame Rêve, the 5 star luxury hotel in Paris (who just as a side note uses our olive oil for all his dishes 😀) came by to see us with his soon to be wife Chiara Barbieri (doing research in pharmaceutical innovation). We were moved by so much joy&happiness but also by their innate search of everything good (in the most spiritual sense) their strive for excellence, and their courage. You certainly are two amazing ambassadors of all the best there is in Italy 🇮🇹

Coucou!!! Meet Francesco, Pinta, Giorgio, Lola & Lallo. Our wonderful donkeys keeping the steep hills in the estate clean and groomed. No mashines, just pure donkey power, happily eating their way through the day.

Gianluca Pizzo, our Estate Manager and partner of the project - who was born and raised in this valley - says that making something exceptional, our multi-awarded olive oil from this soil, is really special and meaningful to him. Between him, in charge of the agricultural part, and our blending master Duccio, we have been doing five different olive oils with our own mill that ONLY produces our olive oil.
Carma R.Elais - our country resort - is just the most recent addition to this project, that has the same values: high-end, authentic, sustainable hospitality for all nature seekers.

Luigina truly has a little Wunderkammer of fruits and vegetables in Lubriano (the tiny village next to Bagnoregio). She buys lots of the goods she sells from small local farmers in the village, or even those growing their own in a small orchard for themselves. Whatever they don't need, they bring to her... local trade to the core 🍎🥦🥕

The other day I walked up - out the gate on our property - to Civita di Bagnoregio, and took a quick picture from there... I thought it really gives a good idea about how the hospitality is structured.

Welcome to our new Carma R.Elais page. While always committed to making the best olive oil, we opened our hospitality that accommodates eight people in two houses, with four bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, big living, dining and cooking areas and a private pool of Roman travertine located in the olive grove.
