➕This is the added value of territorial cooperation projects co-financed by the European Union. And this is what the onspot visits of the Joint Secretariat and Managing Authority are for.

This week they verified on site the functionality of:
✅Mediterrean innovation hub, realized at Ciheam in Valenzano with the Interreg CreativeHubs
✅ Torre Calderina in Molfetta (one of the 17 sea monuments restored with the Interreg COHEN - Coastal Heritage Network
✅Regional Hub for the Dissemination of Traditional Maritime Culture, Crafts and Products made in Tricase (Le) with the Interreg AETHER

✈️ 💊 A new frontier of territorial healthcare is opening between the coasts of South of Puglia and the Ionian islands of Greece.
It is called Air4HEALTH, an international
project that combines science,
technology and cooperation to respond to one of the most critical challenges of contemporary healthcare,
reaching the most isolated and fragile areas of the territory with life-saving drugs and medical devices. Thanks to La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno and Tommaso Forte for the great opportunity of visibility for an ambitious project funded in the 1st call. Good luck to and .lecce for the implementation! 🍀

Implementing is a team work 🫂

Today in Bari the infoday of JS and MA about how to do it: rules and suggestions for the implementation of the funded projects of the first call. 👈🏻

📍 After the institutional greeting of Italian National Authority by Paolo Galletta and Puglia Region by Gianna Elisa Berlingerio, the warn welcome of more than 150 participants onsite and online by Gianfranco Gadaleta (Joint Secreteriat) and Kiriakos Fotiadis (Managing Authority).

🖊️ In-depth and focused on the topics, the speeches of Giorgios Simos (MA) about lessons from the previous programming period, project start-up and monitoring procedures by Anca Daniela Simion (JS), modifications during implementation by Elena Giannopoulou (JS) and financial flows about Chrysoula Pierri (JS).

💻 The second session was opened with the online speech of Ioanna Kalaitzoglou about MIS procedures and has gone ahead with Maristella Mantuano (communication obligations and KoM starter pack) and a final focus on Management Verification Procedures by Giuseppe Gargano (National Implementation Procedures) and Tina Ranieri (Administrative Verifications of beneficiaries
based in Italy) of JS with the contribute of MA.

🔚 The event concluded with a useful and well attended session of questions & answers.

The beneficiaries' support from JS and MA continues beyond the event with the common goal of improving the lives of citizens through projects that are developed in a correct and effective way 🇪🇺

Where to continue if not from the fundamentals? 📕

💪🏻 We enthusiastically participated in the interesting certified training "Fundamentals of Interreg programme communication" to fix and implement the knowledge about Interreg communication world 🇪🇺

Webinars, self paced course, in person training and final text in Wien.

Through the typical communication manager's day at work, many topics were addressed with the usual concrete, exemplifying and little theoretical approach: effective storytelling of projects, plain language, power of visuals, free and paid visual and video editing making, tools, etc 📹 🗣️ ✍️

An excellent opportunity organized by Interact to update one's knowledge and share his baggage of experiences with a network with communication colleagues from all over Europe, in a culturally stimulating setting such as the Austrian capital 🇦🇹

🫂 Regional integration and sustainable development in the Adriatic and Ionian area. Interreg Greece-Italy 🇬🇷 🇮🇹 joined the 10th EUSAIR Forum in Crete that establishes the Hellenic Presidency and celebrates a decade of collaborative efforts.

The 2 days Forum explored key aspects of the EUSAIR strategy, beginning with a review of achievements and future strategies about blue economy, energy and climate change, protection of environment and sustainable tourism.

A key focus on youth engagement, showcasing the contributions of the EUSAIR Youth Council and exploring how to further empower young voices in shaping regional policies.

🇪🇺 The Forum hosted high-level officials from EUSAIR participating countries, representatives from the European Commission, regional stakeholders, and members of civil society.

It was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with the European Commission and the EUSAIR Facility Point.

Best wishes to North Macedonia 🇲🇰 for the next Presidency!

New deadline for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Prizes 2025 and the NEB Boost for Small Municipalities 👉 21 February at 19:00 CET

📍 2014-2020 projects can also apply
📍 Monetary prize of up to EUR 30,000 and a communication package for all the winners

🔵 NEB Prizes 2025 will reward 22 exemplary existing projects and concepts developed by young talents that represent sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusiveness. Among the winners, four projects in the EU, contributing to the EU's efforts to improve housing will be awarded a NEB Affordable housing prizes.

🟢 NEB Boost for Small Municipalities will award 20 projects led by small municipalities across the EU Member States. These projects should be aligned with the NEB values and principles, demonstrating strong community engagement and a sufficient level of maturity.
