Tonight I had an outstanding wine experience at TUA RITA winery in Suvereto, Val di Cornia.
Together with Philip Goodband MW and a group of wine enthusiasts from Canada, USA and England.
We had a fantastic dinner together with Stefano Frascolla who opened for us a super selection of the legend, pure Merlot, Redigaffi 2007 Magnum, pure Syrah Per Sempre 2012, 2015 Magnum, Giusto dei Notri 2021, 2013.

A wonderful tasting from 2004 to 2020 vintage to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Foglio 38 a niche wine from Fornacelle, a family estate in Bolgheri. Foglio 38 is the land registry where vineyards are identified. It is the perfect synthesis of micro parcels of 100% Cabernet Franc, with 8000 vines per hectares, which compose the wine.
Fornacelle is the ninth oldest estate producing wine in Bolgheri. In 1996 Stefano and Silvia, planted 9 hectares of a mix of Bordeaux red and white varieties and Italian natives like Vermentino and Fiano. The Classic DOC Bolgheri Collection includes Rosso Zizzolo, Vermentino Zizzolo and the elegant Rosso Superiore Guarda Boschi. The so called, “Artist Collection” represents single-variety wines: Foglio 38 Cabernet Franc produced since 2004, Erminia Merlot, Vincenzino Fiano and 3000 bottles of Fornacelle Bianco Sémillon.

Today I had the chance to lead a wine tour organized together with James Cluer MW.
With my companion Philip Goodband MW , we guided a lovely group of wine enthusiasts from Canada, USA and Singapore.
We visited two iconic wineries on the Tuscan coast such as Ornellaia and Tua Rita . We had a fantastic dinner at Tua Rita together with Stefano Frascolla who opened for us a spectacular 2019 of Redigaffi - 7, a super selection of the legend, pure Merlot.
